CANCELLED - Learning Circle: History & Culture of the Marshall Islands

This event series has been cancelled.

Spokane County is home to a vibrant community from the Marshall Islands. In fact, in 2023, Marshallese was the second most spoken language in the Spokane Public School District. During this learning circle, we study the culture and history of our Marshallese neighbors using free online materials. Once a week, we meet online for a group discussion, facilitated by a librarian who is a fellow learner. An optional in-person field trip is planned to deepen our understanding of the immigrant Marshallese community in Spokane.

Registration is required. Registrants receive an email with course instructions and links.
