Wildfire in the Hills: Iller Creek History Presentation

Wildfire in the Hills: Iller Creek History Presentation In-Person

In October 1991, a convergence of heat, drought, and swirling winds ignited fires across northeast Washington and the Idaho Panhandle. One of the most dangerous of the blazes roared through the Iller Creek drainage. This presentation explores the background of the 1991 wildfire and follows it across the landscape, showing how that day changed the way our community sees the urban-forest interface.

Presented and led by Jack Nisbet, naturalist and published author
