A Matter of Balance: Preventing Falls

A Matter of Balance: Preventing Falls In-Person

Registration is required. To register, call the ALTCEW educator at 509.777.1571.

This series of sessions is designed for older adults who are concerned about falling. Learn the strategies you need to set realistic goals for increasing activity and to identify environmental adjustments to reduce risk factors. Discover how gentle movement can increase flexibility, strength, and balance and how a shift in viewpoint can make falls more controllable. Small groups meet for eight (8) sessions of group discussion, problem solving, brainstorming, and gentle exercises. This class is free, and each participant receives a workbook.

Presented by trained educators from Aging and Long Term Care of Eastern Washington (ALTCEW)
