CANCELED: Long-Stitch Bookbinding

CANCELED: Long-Stitch Bookbinding

This event has been rescheduled to Oct 4.

Registration is required.

In this hands-on workshop, learn about the art of long-stitch bookbinding, a traditional binding technique. We practice sewing page signatures together using a variety of decorative stitch patterns to craft a sturdy journal or sketchbook. This workshop includes a short talk on the history of bookbinding and the anatomy of a well-made book. All supplies are provided by the library.
