A Matter of Balance: Preventing Falls In-Person

Registration is required. To register, call 509.777.1571

This series of sessions is designed for older adults who are concerned about falling. Learn strategies to set realistic goals for increasing activity and to identify environmental adjustments to reduce risk factors. Discover how gentle movement can increase flexibility, strength, and balance and how a shift in viewpoint can make falls more controllable. Small groups meet for eight (8) sessions of group discussion, problem-solving, brainstorming, and gentle exercises. Each participant receives a workbook.

Aging & Long Term Care of Eastern Washington (ALTCEW) provides education and support on the topics of dementia and memory loss, fall prevention, and others.
