Introduction To Bookbinding In-Person

Registration is required. 

In this hands-on workshop, learn the art of long-stitch bookbinding, a traditional technique that creates beautifully stitched, flexible bindings with exposed thread patterns. The workshop begins with a short talk about the history of books and bookbinding and the anatomy of a well-made book. See how to sew signatures of pages together using a variety of decorative stitch patterns while crafting a sturdy and unique journal or sketchbook. Perfect for beginners or those looking to expand their bookbinding skills, this class covers materials, tools, and step-by-step techniques to produce a finished, professional-quality piece.
